In regards to the UAV infrastructure sector,


Does a product exist in consumer form that physically controls/constrains while also allowing dynamic flight of a UAV in a specified area for testing, development and training?

More specifically this product would allow you to operate your vehicle in a predefined zone, not allowing it to exit that zone but at the same time allowing dynamic unimpeded flight within the zone.
The description is not meant to include operation within any type of netting or static mounting to any structure.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

The short answer is "yes" this does exist, in the form of geofencing. You can set max limits for distance (radius) and altitude from takeoff point, which would give you exactly what you are looking for. This being said, there is no such thing as perfection here, if something malfunctions with the flight controller, gps, hardware or software, your geofence will likely become irrelevant and the unit will succumb to gravity and momentum. Thank you for your response but As far as GEO fencing is concerned I am aware of that, This topic is more concerned with the idea of a product that is usable in a confined space such as your business, garage, R&D space or somewhere somebody might want to do development while flying their vehicle but not in uncontrolled free space.
