Taking the opportunity in almost windless conditions after work this afternoon I went out along Clarence drive for some sea and coastal footage.
The mini2 was a mere 25 seconds in the air and 47 Meters out when I heard a strange sound like a truck approaching.
To my eyes surprise it was a low flying aircraft that sped by - If the drone had been further out and higher I would have been a drone short.

Amazing. And very lucky for both of them!!

Very close call.  I'd say the manned aircraft was definitely flying below legal minimums but maybe the flying rules are different in South Africa.  Glad there was no collision.

Ah! but this is South AfriKa! The law says you may not kill yet we have thousands of murders - especially of White farmers.
The rules/laws are there but the police are often the guilty perpetrators.

Yea, that would have scared me too

That was close... and you were Alert!  That plane looks like its flying below the radar.. Maybe a smuggler lol.
