Since you can always read here that a certain cell phone would not be compatible - is the iPhone 12 Pro Max compatible?

works fine with all iphones i think. i have the 12 pro max and is perfect so far.

iPhone 12 Pro Max works fine,  but its a little tight in a case, so if you have a thick case it may not fit the clamp.

I use the OtterBox SYMMETRY CLEAR SERIES case for the iPhone 12 pro max and it does not fit on the controller.  I have to remove it from the case to do so.

Exactly my point.   

I've used my iPhone 12 pro max with the Mini 2 with no problems.  The only issue I have found is that it is a little tight getting it into the controller.
