Hello,

is it possible to use the front dial to manipulate the `electronical´ focus of the A7RII or A7SII? I read that this doesn't work on the previous ronins.

I'm a idiot, i think i have use the Sony USB cable, but i'm grab unfortunately the normal Micro USB cable.

The camera registrate the movement of the front dial, but the camera think they must be zoom... continues trooble shooting but it seems to be working.

I have tested all possible configurations and settings but it is extremely strange...
if i use the normal micro-USB cable:
- i can manipulate iso and aperture with the front dial
- the focus with the dial doesn't work
- it shows me in ronin app the actual values of iso, aperture and shutter speed
- also i can change the shutter speed in the app
- the record button on the rsc2 works also
- BUT the image transmission stopped if i start the recording (i have tested diffrent settings in the camera)

if i use the specialist sony usb cable (from dji recommended cabels [ make sense ]):
- the image transmission works fine
- if i try to focus with the dial i got a message with "this operation or setting not available as follows: Zoom Setting > Optical zoom only". After that i change this setting to "digital zoom" an i can digitally zoom with the front dial
- the record button on the rsc2 works also
- BUT all the other functions won't work anymore (changing iso, aperture, app show only 0, etc.)

have anyone the same strange issues?
