haha I will say that I turned up without the drone one day and they were felling the trees and laid the branches out in almost perfect circles.  So sad not to have filmed that.

I know what you mean but be assured that these were sick or dead trees and i plant many many more.

thats good to know Jim.    At the weekend my neighbour cut down two pear trees that were in full blossom  for no apparent reason which is a shame as the blue tits that are nesting in my garden were regularly feeding from those trees.

it is hard to understand at times.  As a gardener (who uses his drone to help plan pathways etc - making it tax deductible) I get a lot of stuff like that.  This includes being asked to move mature yew trees just 4 feet to the left, being asked to cut an apple tree a bit longer because it is too small and - on one occasion being asked to trim a wysteria out of season, which I did lightly but was asked to do more.  I explained that I didn't want to do this as it was the wrong time to do so and had birds nesting in it.  The reply I got was 'well you can just chuck them out', the reply I gave was 'well you can get another gardener' - never went back.

It really does make you wonder.   We think there are robins nesting the neighbours wisteria so hopefully that wont be next.
