It looks like they will not be making Mini2 Smart Controller Compatible.
The MavicAir2 got update for Smart Controller 148 days later it's now 156 days after release of Mini2.
I think purchasing the Smart Controller for the MA2 and the Mini2 was a mistake as it is only good for my MA2.
I was hoping to be able to just bring the 2 drones with SC for 1 hour of flight in a tiny package, Oh well sometimes you lose.

I wish they would make the mini 2 compatible with smart controller. I love my air 2 with the sc. Alot better than phone, or tablet.

The Mavic Air2S has the same controller as the Mini 2 so maybe its coming.

None of the ones are compatible with SC
Only the Mavic 2 zoom/pro/enterprise/phantom 4pro V2 and Mavic Air2.
I just feel like they not interested in SC anymore. They onto Occusync 3 and nothing else matters.

I never understood the need for a massive and expensive controller.
I already have to drag so many things around, I like the fact that I can just slap my phone in the holder and start flying.

I like the fact that you just turn on power and take off period.
Don’t need to pop in a phone.
Turn on app.
Plug in the Phone.
Go into controller to turn on Charge Phone option.

Just powering up and Flying  is pretty awesome.

I agree with monty.  I often walk 16+ miles with drone, I’m happy not to carry a phone and a SC.

Your still carrying a phone and a controller which is roughly the same size.
You make it sound like your bringing a fridge around
1 controller and two drones is what I wanted.
2 controllers and two drones is what you want let's leave it at that.

For me the small footprint of the M2 complete package is really breathtaking.
I can slide it into an empty pocket of my camera bag and don't even notice it is there.
So that is one less bag to carry around!

And I don't think it is worth the extra weight and size.
You still can't see 'everything' you can see on a big screen.

I thought the same thing about why i didnt want smart controller. Was it that much better? Brighter screen? Easier to use? ........well, i bought one, and cant fly without it..exept my mini 2, and now its hard to see the phone or tablet in sunshine.

Actually with the Smart Controller you can fly from a big screen "HDMI out"
