I have the DJI Ronin RSC2 Pro Combo. I have applications on my phone.
The camera is a Sony a6400. It is connected to the gimbal (RSS) via the USB-C cable to Sony Multi.

In the 'Create' tab I choose 'Timelapse'. I set two points from 1 to 2. On the sony a6400 I set 'Interval Shoot Func.' - ON.
I set the parameters in the camera and gimbal the same.

Unfortunately, the gimbal is starting to move slowly. However, the camera constantly informs about its readiness, but does not start shooting 'Timelapse'.

Two days ago, I managed to record a timelapse of 300 photos. Was ok.

How do I synchronize it?

Today I did three timelapse. When I checked these photos at home, it turned out that they were photos taken by the camera after the gimbal was finished - that is, instead of a beautiful shot - photos from the disassembly of the camera and gimbal. Now I'm trying to do timelapse at home again - still the same problem.

I connect the camera via USB C TO Sony Multi.
The first gimbal, then I connect to the Android application and finally turn on the camera.

Timelapse starts to move the gimbal and there is a countdown in% -> The lens focuses, but the shutter does not actually take a picture.

What's even more strange - when the gimbal finishes its movement and the countdown reaches 100% - then the camera starts taking pictures from that moment.

Does DJI already have a solution to this problem?
I bought the RSC2 just for time-lapse in motion.
I bought equipment for £ 580 and am unable to Time-lapse. Pathetic.

I test another method:
I go to 'Create' and I will not choose 'Timelapse' but I choose 'Track'
I set two points: 1 and 2
Movement Duration: 3 min
Stay Time: 3 sec

that is for 180 photos every 1s

First, I physically press the button on the camera.
On camera : Shooting Start Time: 6 sec
Shooting Interval 1 sec
Number of shots: 181

After 3 sec I press Start on DJI app in my mobile.

BUT this is for 1/80 - 1/100 not longer time.

Is the usb C to Sony Multi working for you?
I have a Sony A7SII and the only cable working is Micro USB/USB-C. With Sony Multi the camera is not seen by the Gimbal?
Do you think it could be a cable issue?

Both cables work with SONY a6400. However, everyone has different options.
This is described on the DJI website:   https://www.dji.com/uk/support/compatibility/rsc-2/a6400

①Control Cable (Sony Multi) (in the box) - Capture photo - YES
②Control Cable (Micro-USB) (in the box) - Capture photo - NO

So I should work on the FIRST cables (Sony Multi) if I want to properly start the gimbal and the camera with one press START on the application on the phone.

Unfortunately, on the SECOUND cable (Micro-USB) I have to press the shutter button in the camera and the button in the phone application separately. However, this solution is difficult because the shutter often comes out while the gimbal is moving.

Does this mean that DJI only gives me the secoun option to do time lapse via a cable (Micro-USB) ?

I have now tested the cable (Micro-USB) on a Sony a6400.
First, I need to set up:
USB Connection -> PC Remote
PC Remote Settings -> PC + Camera

Only then can I connect the camera and gimbal with this cable (Micro-USB), and I have the photos saved on the camera.

Unfortunately, the camera stops taking pictures in the 42nd photo. (I repeated this five times)
The information from the camera is that it is trying to send this packet of photos to the PC.

So this cable is not suitable for a6400 time lapse via RSC2

for me, now the situation is that with
①Control Cable (Sony Multi) (in the box)
the Gimbal doesn't see the camera at all
do you think it's a problem with the cable itself, of with some camera settings, eventually?

For Your A7R2 check that 3 points with Sony Multi cable:

A7R2 + DJI RSC 2 Compatibility result

①Control Cable (Sony Multi) (in the box)
When using ① cable:
1. After connecting the cable, be sure to power on the DJI RSC 2 before the camera. Otherwise, the DJI RSC 2 will not recognize the camera. If the camera is not recognized, restart the camera or remove and reconnect the cable to the camera.
2. Optical zoom can be controlled through the Ronin Focus Wheel (only lenses with built-in power zoom, such as the Sony E PZ 18-105 mm F4 G OSS). If a non-Power Zoom lens is mounted, the Focus Wheel will control digital zoom. Digital zoom must be enabled in your camera’s settings.
3. After connecting with a Sony camera using the ① cable, if you need to swap to a camera of other manufacturers then a gimbal reboot is required.

I finally found a solution. How to do time-lapse with Sony cameras?
The most important thing is to turn off 'Interval Shoot Func.'

  'Interval Shoot Func.' -> Off

We don't set all the 'Interval Shoot Func.' on the Sony camera. We are not interested here.
We set all these functions on the gimbal, and more precisely in the application on the phone (we can set it on the gimbal, but only in the RS2 version with a color display)

In the Sony camera, we only set the shooting parameters and leave the Time-lapse case to Ronin RSC 2

Hope it helped someone. If so, you can write below in the comment.

The July firmware update seems to have solved the photo mode issue on the a7c. I made a video about it.

I've had the same problem as most of you. Sony looks like the shutter is being triggered but get home and the card is empty. I've copy and pasted this from my phone as I don't have the capacity to remember this.
This is how I get the Sony Alpha A7Siii to shoot a motion timelapse with the Ronin SC2 The Youtube video above has one step that I didn't do and didn't seem to matter for me. I had it set to save images only on PC and it still saved them to my camera card,

Ronin SC2 settings for Alpha A7Siii

Sony touch focus/follow needs to be off.
Came needs to be in photo mode.
Ctrl w/ smartphone -off (31/49 in photo menu)
PC remote function is on
Sony HDMI to raven hdmi
USB-C from back of Raven to Ronin wifi port
USB-C from Ronin RSS to Sony multi port in Sony
Turn on raven - shows red
Must turn on Ronin before camera
Turn on ronin (raven turns blue)
Launch app and connect to raven in app
Connect to raven using wifi
Disable blue tooth

This works for me. Hope it helps. Confusing sequence if you only do it once in a blue moon.
