Im installing the old firmware, I have persevered with the current firmware for around 5 weeks now. had the drone up in wind today, the reduced propulsion kicked in and the drone started to drift away, I had very little control over it. If the old firmware works it will be the last time I ever upgrade firmware to this devise. DJi have not addressed the problem and there must be so many people out there having the same issues. I have spent around 30K on drones from DJI over the last 4 years. After sale service, horrendous.

I don't understand why these fools release such dangerous firmware, a little wind is enough to risk great damage!
After a few flights with the .500 where I risked losing the drone, I went back to .400.

I cant get the remote to recognise the aircraft, will have to reinstall ver 500. Hopeless. The only way to control this drone safely is to fly in perfect weather, its currently Autumn in Melbourne, very windy.

The .500 firmware is problematic.  From all the posts I've read, there is nothing good or beneficial in that firmware that will improve the I2.  If you can go back to .400 or .300, it will be a safer firmware for your craft.

Is .400 as good as .300? Basically is there any downside to upgrading to .400? I will avoid .500 at all costs after the last hour of reading about battery throttling.

Please let me know on .400 though.

The .400 was a factory installed firmware.  It wasnt made available to the public up until now.  From what I've gathered, its suppose to be identical to the .300 firmware.

If you are on .300, I would recommend for you to stay with that fw and dont bother with any other. Its not perfect, but its the most stable firmware at this moment.

Who knows what DJI added (hidden) features in that .400
