I frequently get the message that the CPU on my iphone is overloading and that performance will be impaired. The iphone I use is Model 6 64gb.  Does this mean that this phone is not really up to the job of working the mini2.

Thanks in advance and if anyone can recommend a phone that would not have this problem I would be grateful.

Check you battery health in settings -battery.  If your battery is bad the iPhone will throttle the cpu.

Thank you. My battery is showing signs of age and the settings told me it had suffered a shutdown. Good to know before I fly it again.  Than k you

You can get the battery replaces for not a lot of £££.   Even Timpsons have been doing them lately.
