Air 2S obstacle avoidance system .

Worked better for 51 drones but he’s had his for 6 weeks.

Active Track 4.0 didn't work too well in following a bicycle. Poor Air 2S drowned. It's back to the drawing board DJI.

He walked around some trees. I don't know what the percentages are of people that use Active Track for walking but I would assume it's very low. It's practically a worthless test IMO. Ray's video above is much more representative of who uses Active Track (I assume). Someone on some vehicle moving more than 3mph.

In a completely open area. When you are riding a mountain bike, it's rare to find such an open space.

Don't take it the wrong way though, please. There are some really nice improvements but if tracking is what you are after, it's not there yet. Way before Ray found the mount to put the remote on the handlebar, I already had it on mine. You have to babysit the drone when riding a bike because it frequently either can't navigate something or it simply can't find you at some random point. It's better than nothing for sure but not where we'd all like it to be. For everything else, the DJI lineup is pretty stellar.

There is no excuse for active tracking. It is not there yet or maybe never will be. It is far more efficient for the operator to do it manually. I have tried everything with my MA2 and AT is just ok and very risky...as expected. Better than nothing I guess.

For us here active track is the only option, there really isn’t any competitor apart from Autel that just started selling here.

Doesn't matter. If it won't work, there is a good reason for that. Only a far more sophisticated system will be able to do it efficiently, not a hobby drone....for now.
