This thread is irrelvent...   The Latest Firmware which came out the same day as this thread, ADDS Mini 2 compatibility to the RC-N1 Smart Controller!

I really was tempted to buy the crystalsky, but never did.
Right now there is no need since it does not support M2.

Has anyone noticed that there is not a single reply here from a DJI staff member, further proof that these 'petitions' do not work at all.

Admittedly, they can't really reply here because they don't have a public facing update.
If they came in here and said "there are currently no plans to support the Mini 2" people would flame them.. and if they said "We are continually adding new capability to the Smart Remote" then they would probably also get flamed, along with no actual real information being provided with either statement.

Isn't this exactly what we're seeing here; these guys are just the messengers who get shot. In actual fact it's the marketing and engineering people who are not making the Mini2 and Smart Controller compatible.
