The last time I saw one I was jumping over a stream and nearly landed on it, (it was sunbathing). I twisted my ankle in the process and was about 3 miles from the nearest road.   There is only so far you can hop/crawl.  Luckily this old lady came by on a bicycle and she insisted on getting me to sit on the bike and she pushed it out.

Ouch.
This one was sunbathing in an abandoned area of the campsite, but it was our shortcut to the entrance, so we discovered it.
The owner was not impressed, but we were!

Yes,  it was a bound strain, and I couldn't walk on it for nearly 2 weeks.
