I can't think of any time in the past that DJI has gone over a month on a new product without a firmware update or at least an app update to address any issues. Its certainly not perfect, and there are a ton of requested features.
Maybe they were delayed by the Air 2S release. Supposedly support for the goggles is in the works for the Air 2S, so maybe they're going to release that all in one go and they've been snowed under getting that into the new firmware. Or maybe the bugs are hard to fix and taking a long time. Who knows....

Wow! That would be so cool. I'll probably get an Air 2S if it works with the goggles.
I do recall hearing it uses Ocusync 3 but I didn't think it meant it would work with the goggles. I hope you're right about this.
Hello there KerryG. Good day and thank you for these information that you have posted. As of the moment, we do not have any information with DJI's future firmware updates for the DJI FPV and with regards to this matter. Kindly please stay tuned to the latest updates by subscribing to DJI official website at www.dji.com or following us on social media ( Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DJI , Twitter: https://twitter.com/djiglobal , YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/djiinnovations ). It's suggested in the FAQ for the Air 2S, but it's one of those "check back for future updates" type answers.
In other words, don't buy the Air 2S or the V2 Goggles with the expectation that they'll eventually work together. Only buy them if and when the updates come out and you can confirm it actually works.
I'd consider an Air 2S if it worked with the V2's, but not until then....

Thanks for the info and advice. I'll likely do as you suggest.
Yea would be cool if the Air 2S was Goggle compatible, and if so would that mean all the new releases (Mavic 3, Phantom 5, Mini 3) would also be compatible. Food for thought, I hope a new version of the Mavic comes soon.
Goggles are a feature of the FPV drone. If they want to give that feature to other drones, then they should give back some features to the FPV as well. Simple as that.
