Hi all.

The other day just after take off my Mavic mini had issues which resulted in it descending and taking a swim in a nearby lake....could someone look into the flight log for me and see whether there's any point me sending it off for repair or help me see what happened?

Hi Mike,

Had a look, see my chart.

At 31s in flight  the drone attitide changed without your RC inputs, rapid descend 7.5 m/s!
Stabilized a little but still going down with 1.5 m/s.
Your last RC input was 100% down stick, so speed down increased to 4 m/s.

As in your title, hit by bird and blades damaged?

cheers

Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Yea the 100% down was because I lost sight of it and knew there was some land between the two lakes in hope that it was over that part, turned out not quite.

So the drone is dead, and I'm guessing DJI won't help out as it wasn't due to a fault? and I don't have the DJI refresh insurance, so it's a case of having to replace the entire drone when/if I can afford to.

Wouldn't mind if it was my fault and I flew it into a tree haha, it's just £370 ish gone in a few seconds of unluckiness.

What can we learn from this? Take off further from water if possible and observe any bird interest before doing much... Or draw a hawk on the top ha.
