A pleasant walk along the riverbank the other day led to the discovery of a new crossing, replacing the old rickety affair that was there previously.A sunny, though rather cool day, and the water was quite still - hardly a ripple on the surface, and just a slow undercurrent.

The anglers don't generally fish for food - just for the "sport" of yanking a fish out of the water by its lip, only to chuck it back in.  Using a net would take the "fun" out of it I suppose.  Not my scene at all.

Impressive shot Blériot.    I'm guessing the purpose of the rock in the middle of the walkway just prior to the bridge is to keep motorized vehicles off such as golf carts.

Exactly that. Quad bikes are popular recreational vehicles amongst the local youth, and their passage along some pedestrian paths not only churns up the surface abominably but risks life and limb to the walkers.

Cozy little Bridge. That looks like a nice spot to fly from .

It's just one of many favourite spots we've had to leave behind, now we're back in the UK.   Maybe we'll get back there when the Covid crisis is vanquished.

I hear you . But even vaccine is scary. I heard one of them giving blood clots . The scare tactics on all news and radio. I just stay home wear mask when in public and don't listen to Radio and TV. Life is pretty normal when you do that. Everyone I know is good so I will stick to what keeps me sane.

I walk a lot so I'd appreciate not getting run over by a quad.  LOL.

Imagine walking along on a lazy day and stopping for a snack only to be yanked out of your environment by the lip then tossed back into the madding crowd

You should encourage them quaddies to pop wheelies, the higher the better! One of those things falls on you you know about it (if you survive). They shoud be banned for being more dangerous than an uncontolled drone.

A spot with tranquility, Ah! And that is a mighty fine bridge too - I thought the rock may just be a local tortois wanting to cross...
to get to the other side of course
