If I get enough points, I can move up a level... Why? I do like to share some of what i"ve learned, I enjoy reading some of you'alls stuff and watching drone videos, but why the point initiative?

There are some additional privileges that go with higher rank.

It's an ego trip. We all want to be called Captain ;-)

OK, you said it Captain.  I'm getting there....

Or look at it this way,  the rank just shows how much you participate in the forum.

The first step gives you more privileges, other than that it is just a nice gimmick I think .

Being a Captain means that you've had plenty of time to write a lot of BS
But I enjoy chit chatting, getting lost into insignificant details.
