I just recently found GSP app and have designed a flight plan but I cannot get it to connect to my controller or drone. It does not sync the information or even show the drone.
Can someone tell me how to make this connection and get it to work?

Your thread title mentions a Smart Controller.
Are you trying to use GSP with a smart controller?
GSP is not compatible with the Smart Controller as it's an iOS app and the SC is Android.

I am not sure how it works.
The GS PRO Manual only say use GS Pro as if using DJI GO 4 app, but I cannot get the iPad to connect.
I have no idea how to connect or get the drone and iPad to communicate.

Are you trying to use the iPad with the Smart Controller?
That's not possible.
You would need a regular controller and connect the iPad to that.

No, i am trying to use only the iPad but i cannot get it to recognize the drone or bring up the aircraft info.
All I am able to do with the app on the iPad is create a flight plan

The GSP app will only run on the iPad.
It won't run on the Smart controller.
You cannot connect the iPad to the Smart controller and you cannot run the drone without some sort of controller.
You cannot connect the iPad to the drone.

If you want to run a GSP mission on your drone, you are going to have to get an ordinary (not smart) controller and connect the ipad to that.

I think it get it now except one most important detail.
If i am only using the ipad to to create the flight plan for the drone and i am going to fly the drone with controller how do I get the information from the iPad to the drone or controller?
How does the GSP collect the flight information from the drone?
I don't mean to sound stupid.

Some people fly their Mavic 2 witjh a Smart Controller.
Most fly it with a regular controller plus a phone or tablet.

To fly the Mavic 2 with an iPad, you also need a regular controller and you connect them with a USB cable like this:

The controller + iPad together will work just the same way your smart controller does.

Hi, M911360VR. Thanks for reaching out! Please be advised that the GS Pro isn't compatible with the DJI Smart Controller. If you have an iPad that supports the GS Pro, you're required to use it with a standard Mavic 2 Remote Controller.
