Forgive me if this topic has already been discussed. Is there a possibility of making a sub 2kg Inspire so we can have a professional drone with interchangeable lenses that can be flown commercially in Australia without the need for a remote pilots license? A product like this would sell like hot cakes here. Thoughts?

Firstly, sub 2kg drone with proprietary camera of this kind will have to be of a totally different class. Suitable camera + gimbal + lenses need to be designed from scratch the same way like any previous X class Zenmuse camera. Secondly, there's not really a huge market for such product. Your assumption about "selling like hot buns" is based more on a wishful thinking rather than on a true market research. Finally, no, with available technology these days there's no way to develop equally affordable sub 2kg Inspire equivalent ...

You are certainly right that I haven't done any market research Matthew. Just putting out a question for discussion. I do very much believe though that if there was a drone that sat somewhere between the Mavic 2 Pro/Phantom 4 Pro and the Inspire that had the option for RAW recording and lens swapping it would sell very well as it would then mean that operators don't have to undertake a $3000, 5 day remote pilot license to fly it. With so many Mavic mini, mavic air models being released why not??
