Are drone manufacturers using their technology to spy on us and our surroundings? Are the drones in fact modern versions of Trojan Horses? In order to find out the truth I installed a network monitoring device to intercept any outgoing transmissions within our home network.
When I downloaded my latest drone footage, which I shot in the South-East of Hong Kong around the Peninsula of D'Aguilar, I was shocked when i inspected the file the drone was secretly trying to send home to the manufacturers main server.
Not only is my drone indeed able to recognize its location, it is also able to identify buildings and structures, intercept flying objects, hack networks and also able to access file systems and download files when it encounters a WIFI network.
And, unknown to all of us, it also records sounds with hidden microphones.
