Any one ever fail to update due to error 5-2-4 when using DA2? The customer service ask me to return for repairing, and created a UPS ground shipping for me  
I am wondering if there is any chance I don't need to do so.

That would be a faulty Error code. Did you talk with DJI customer service via phone line?

How do I upload the new package?  I downloaded the new V2.1.1 and don't see anything new on DJI Assistant 2

Wait, are you having issues with your FPV with any error? If not, don't update it. If you are having issues like us, just plug and play and it should detect your drone once you connect it to your pc, laptop.

Before you do so, take note of the fly safely data info from your settings in the goggles about info. Also the firmware info but you need to take that photo to post.

OK perfect, turn on the app from your laptop or pc. Once you get a notification to attach your drone, turn on your drone then just plug it in and it should open up...

if you updated Saturday you stuck in the same boat as most of us here , were all waiting for dji to fix this (only people who updated from friday 5/7 to around 5/10) any one who did not update during this time is fine

So for now on, any update bro. Let's wait until we see things happen for any updates. I know also they will be putting a new feature on this camera for 24 fps which should be soon.

Almost home. Since this is a new drone and never been activated nor updated I think it might work due to the fact that it would e common sense for dji to remove the update from its servers and keep messing up people's drones.

im pretty sure its fixed (as in not messing up more drones so u should be fine) but update it and let us know how it goes so other can know

That would be 50% chance, but hopefully they are monitoring this also for you. But take all the photos and documents to help us out.

Really appreciate this event, but I know you can return it. But I do wish it was that other guy to test it.

They may have a fail safe on the drone server that I'm guessing, the error they have may be in the system until it is replaced by a new one, this way nobody can delete it by accident. Correct me if I'm wrong and let's do this LOL...

LOL, i just finished removing stickers and connecting everything but haven't turned it on yet lol.

So people got this error even if they didn't connect the drone to assist via computer right? I got the fly error by connecting to my computer not by phone. It didn't even showed me an update in my phone. I found out once I downloaded the upgrade through my computer.

Just trying to make sense out of this before I touch the power button lol

They got the error once they complete the update. Are you seeing the error now before the update? Not sure what you are saying, got food in my mouth.

Not yet. The battery was 100% dead and goggles battery. I found that strange because last one I had was halfway full and every other drone i had in the past. This had absolutely nothing not even 1 light bar.

Waiting for charging and then powering up.

is this on PC?v2.1.3 is for DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series) not DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV series)

Something is wrong with this damn battery. Doesn't get charged all the way. Its been charging i tried trouble shooting it but it stops at 2 bars.

After hours of hard, sweaty research, I sensationally found out that the database is actually not called fly safely!

it´s called fly safe! Nothing for ungood (as my compatriots use to say)

I think DJi made some adjustments to the file type or the compression type of the database file. When the "new" fly safe database was released, the software application on the cell phone or PC (Assistant v2.1.0) may not have been adjusted accordingly. The app could not unpack properly or implement the file normally on the device. the fly safe database is therefore probably not readable for the firmware. As a result, the software update for the client app came too late (or the database too early). It seems that all those who updated the FlyApp or Assistant 2 first have no problems with the database update. The PC or phone app is probably not able to delete the faulty installation and can not simply start a new update. Something like that would make sense to me. Dji would then have to release a new version of the client app with a fix for the problem. Hope you guys have high load of patience, that might take a while... I´m done with it for now and will check this forum again at the earliest at the weekend.

No I didn’t. I wanted to test this FPV out first before I threw several more hundreds on the fly more pack. I’m going first thing in the morning to exchange. I left it charge for a while and nothing. And looks like it discharges after an hour left alone. Damn if it’s one thing it’s another.
