When done flying, I typicall put the gimble guard on then walk away from the landing site holding the drone vertially so as to get a quick get-a-way :-)

Will this mess up the IMU?

(I know when the drone is on you should not turn it up-side-down, but maybe even vertially).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

If the drone is turned off, it shouldn't matter how you hold it. Even if the drone is turned on, as far as I know it's fine to flip it onto its side, belly, or point the nose up or down. Just remember to put the gimbal guard on after you turn off the drone and not before.

Hi, Mike90210. Thanks for reaching out! If the aircraft is turned off, it shouldn't affect the IMU. Please make sure to place the aircraft on the ground after turning it on so that the IMU parameters will reset.

Thanks Gamora.

That's a great suggestion.  Sometimes, I might included to do a hand-launch after carrying it vertically so I can see how putting on the ground would be good.
