The v2 is also lower profile so it can fully close the clamp with it inserted.  But it needed more supports and more cleanup after printing.

Does your remote/phone hang level? My phone is smaller and lighter (I think) and it makes the remote sag much lower with a standard hanger. So I added an offset to the hanger. Seems like that might be easy to do with the 3d printer.

What about some ring secured with 3M method to the DJI logo? So remote will be in balance and antenna can go fully back.
Anybody tried?

So far the bottom of the remote resents on me and then the weight of the iPhone 12 causes it lean away so you could fly pinching if you wanted just fine.

Now that you pointed that out I can see it is a lower profile.

I think it is part of the 3D printing process, the printer builds supports so that the object is stable during printing  and they are removed when the project is finished.

When you 3D print something with an overhang you have to add supports to stop it drooping.  After printing you snap off the support and usually need a knife to clean up a bit.

The dark orange in the picture is an example of supports.

They have a Tech center, a friend works there and showed me the printer and a few items he had made as examples. So I just emailed the stl file and they will let me know when it is completed and bill my library account.

That’s not a bad deal because even if you 3D print you still need the lanyard.

I got mine from Drone Vally and it has a support lip an it fits perfectly.

Overall, nice but I find the balance is off with the printed ones as the RC is heavier than the phone so it continues to lean. I found one on amazon that had a lip protruding over the RC that allows almost perfect balance. If I let go of the RC it stays in position so I can grab it again!
