I think the pilot app is pretty good, but it is missing so much in the way of useful audio cues and warnings.  There's absolutely nothing to audibly tell you signal is failing or lost, or that it's recovered.  Even when changing flight modes there's no feedback to say which mode you switched to.  There could even be audible callouts for battery life per 10% decrease, user adjustable to start at 100% even 50%.....  My eyes are not always on the screen and in the mix of a flight I don't always pay enough attention to the finer details on the screen.

I agree. A few more audio cues would be great, particularly for android. I dont get the female voice about low battery like I understand apple folks do. There are visual indications you have changed modes. My app lets me know when I change to ATTI.
Maybe something that says RTH is about to be initiated as well.
