My company is building a drone, which we are mounting the RS2 to the bottom of. We’ve already set up the focus wheel to accept input from a radio transmitter and control the gimbal over sbus.

What I’m curious about, is if we can access the gimbals USB ports on the camera arm and send sbus controls through that? Seeing that the Raveneye can control the gimbal wirelessly, one would assume that it does this through the USB port it is plugged into on the gimbal.

I’d like to tap into that so that I can put my receiver on the gimbal arm, and package that with an analog video transmitter to replace the raveneye box. This would allow me video and control over much greater distances with one attached device, without needing to run a cable around the gimbal and limit range of motion.

Anyone know if this is possible? I doubt DJI has opened this up but I’d love to see this sort of extensibility brought to the gimbal.
