Actually dry today but bloody freezing.   Yesterday the next 5 days were all rain but this morning that’s disappeared for now.

You just can't seem to catch a break weather wise lately.

No.  May last year was glorious weather although we were in lockdown, now that’s relaxed the weather is punishing us.

But it gives me some workshop time, today I’ve been learning to etch steel with salt water.  

I am not getting much screen time atm so this is the first I have seen for a while - there is not one bit of this image I do not like - so interesting, and I can feel the weather in it.

Lol.  I’m an it guy do I’ve got more computers than I can count without an audit.  But I’ve used ICE and it’s not bad. For these big merges I’ve been using Lightroom on a 2015 MacBook Air.

On a Macbook Air, bloody hell, they only have what 4MB ram? Impressive!

Interesting.  I never tried to etch steel with salt water.  I'll read up on it.

I knew from all my years in the Navy that salt water and steel didn't like each other but now I know what cool things you can do with salt water to etch steel.  Got a few projects in mind.

Cheers, that was after polishing with some 1500 grit sand paper. I did another test with ferric chloride but that came off with the polishing.

You're most welcome.    You don't see 1500 grit sand paper that often, but it does have its special uses.

It’s really common here for repairing and preparing for clear coat.   I’ve got grits up to 3000 for all sorts of uses.
