Passing this story on, which might help others realize true value of their land. For those married, maybe, possibly, even justify the expensive flying camera thingy...
After deciding to sell a large acreage, contracted with a local (to acreage) real estate agent to put land up for sale. Realtor came up with a listing value near high end for going price of land in the area.
Because of size of property, it isn't easily walked around. Along with some areas having defense forest spots which tends to hide glades or one pond. Realtor wanted pictures for Web to help show off property. After getting out my high-end mirrorless camera and lens for pictures, also got out and prepped my Mavic Pro, and next day headed out for property (hours of boring driving).
After having taken H.Q. RAW pictures from various spots and angles, flew Mavic Pro around property in sqaure path; hovering Mavic in middle of property and doing a slow 360. Also flew Mavic over a pond and forest area. Upon getting home, downloaded royalty free music which could be used on commericial website, and set to work. Tweaking RAW pictures, exporting to .jpg, doing few quick video edits of Mavic Pro video set to music, exporting to reasonable video feed size - uploaded it all for relator's review.
Few days passed, and I get a message from realtor. After watching Mavic Pro video, he had spotted a part of acreage which was semi-hidden, and in an unknow state to him. A part not needing to be cleared, ready for use such as farming. Realtor ended up listing property for approximately 4.8% more than he originally suggested. 4.8% doesn't sound like much unless you have looked at price of land lately, and factored in large acreage involved.
Jumping to end: Property sold for less than listed, but for more than was expected. Not becuase of H.Q. still images, but because video taken by Mavic Pro had shown semi-hidden area and state it was in, which realtor could show potential buyers - without a drive and long walk.
Only to emphasize roll (credit where due) Mavic Pro played in extra profit; the extra would be enough to buy a new DJI Matice 600 and have money left for addons.
Hope this story helps someone else who has property to sell which isn't easily looked over from the ground. Cheers!
