A dawn patrol this morning yielded some good footage of Chinley Churn - one of the high points of this area.
This frame from the flight captures the Geographical Trigonometry Point ( the concrete obelisk) at the crown of the hill.

Lovely shot,  and lovely light.   Is the the trig still closed?

Seems so. Walkers have reported barbed wire erected and NO TRESPASSING! signs.  It's actually on private land so maybe the owner has had enough of people trampling everywhere and littering.  It is sheep-grazing moorland in any case.

I wouldn't be surprised if the land owner was annoyed.  I think it was part of a challenge to visit those trig points.

Yes there are "Trig Baggers" as well as Geocachers, and a constant stream of walkers. Even at that time of the morning (before 6am) I encountered one walker.

It was really early. What do they say about the Golden hour?  The sun was above the horizon, so perhaps I was a bit late

There are plenty more hills left for me to walk up yet, but only a few of them could be described as a climb. Britain is not an exceptionally mountainous country.

But that's why it has the most beautiful lawns, it is the best medicine for the eyes.

Hello mate, thanks.  Yes, it was a nice day - very early in the morning. A bit hazy further downhill where I took off from, but it got out hot and sunny the rest of that day.
