4x Speed footage from a recent early morning flight around a local geodesic (Trig) point.

Thanks RDB   It's all hills and dales around here in the High Peak area of Derbyshire.
The name is a bit pretentious since none of the hills are much above 400 metres.
Not exactly on a par with the Alps or Mount McKinley

You can tell, sheep don't normally run that fast

I usually just cut parts out if it gets too long, but in your case it was still quite smooth.

His farm is in Chadlington, just north of Oxford so he's a bit further south than you.

Well Blériot53 great flight but imagine building the stone walls. They are pretty impressive and show up well in the flight. Gotta love the modern hard wire fence that's snuck in there. Are we getting a bit soft or is it that we've run out of rock

Hello mate. How are you doing?  Yeah, dry-stone walling is a dying art. Too slow and labour intensive ( therefore costly). Wire fencing is the cheaper, quicker option,

Thank you. At normal speed, the flight took about 12 minutes at 25 Km/h. I increased it by 4x to keep the video shorter

At a rough guess, the Trig Point would have been 500-600m from my position, the segment of the flight you saw on YT around 4Kms. The entire flight that morning was about 9.5 Kms, criss-crossing the moor to get views angled away from the rising sun.
