Dear Forum,

I have a problem with my DJI Osmo mobile 2. Oftentimes when I pan up and down or side to side the recorded video is flickering / jittering.
Here is an example:

I tried to improve the video in post production e.g. with Anti-aliasing. It helps a little but its still not smooth enough to use the video professionally.
Has anyone had the same issue or even a solution?

Thanks and greetings,
Jan

You are panning and tilting too fast for your shutterspeed.

Hello there Jan. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. As posted above kindly please try to pan slowly when shooting video for us to see isolate the said issue and may we also know what is the model of the mobile device that you are using please? Thank you.

It is quite simple.
The shutterspeed and the motion are too fast.
So the difference between the frames is experienced as stuttering.

If you want to move that fast, you need a slower shutterspeed.
A rule of thumb is to use double the framerate as your shutterspeed.
So if you are filming 25 fps, you need a shutterspeed of 1/50s
This introduces a bit of motion blur which removes the stuttering.
You need ND filters to achieve this.
Moving more slowly is also a solution.
