Just recieved my Inspire 1 from a thrid party seller.

The battery that came with the drone was dead. No lights when pressing the button. I plugged it into the charger, nothing. Dead.

Luckily I ordered a second battery and that one works fine.

I want to fly so I ordered another battery for today. Dead. No lights, nothing happens when it's plugged in. Dead.

This is totally ridiculous. A quick search makes it appear this is a pretty common problem.

I expect better from equipment like this.

Not a good sign.

Try putting battery on charge leave for about 30 mins then pres on button for about 10 seconds whilst still connected to charger  may wake up  happend to mine  and it is now fine

Follow this and you will be alright the battery has went into hibernation, the upgrade should cure that in the future in the mean time. read this and then follow the link that this thread leads you to.

I was super excited to try your hack.

I did exactly what you said. Unfortunately, no luck. No lights, not power. I think their "hibernation" turned into permanent sleep.

The batteries are being returned today.
