I tried to use my iPad instead of my iPhone to rule out the app - it didn't work. I tried to use mobile data instead of wifi connection - it didn't work. I tried to update using DJI Assistant 2, it didn't work (while updating the RC did work)... And so on and so on...

So I took the drone + batteries + RC and gave it to the shop where I purchased it - they do servicing as well.

There might be something wrong with your Mini 2

weird Ive seen quite a few double posts lately,  there must be a glitch in the matrix somewhere.

If you can't find it there, try searching DJI Mini 2 under the parts and spares section

I can't guarantee you'll find it or the mother board will work under than section though

Well, probably yes... What's interesting the updates worked for me before - I don't understand what could possibly change. The workshop told me the DJI drones usually get firmware updates for about a year from the launch - if that's true, there won't be many future updates I'll have to deal with.

Which is both a positive and a negative since you wouldn't have to worry too much, but on the flip side, you wouldn't have new software stuff in your drone

Hopefully the creation of the final panorama on the drone has been implemented, instead of just storing the HTML and 26 pics.

my Mini 2 in 360-sphere mode I can't get raw dng files for post-processing. I only have a 3 megapixel jpeg, which does not allow me to build a decent quality sphere.
Is this really so or have I put the bird in the wrong place somewhere in the settings?

this is completely incomprehensible to me. After all, all the processing parameters here are better than those of Mavic Pro! I asked a support question and asked them to clarify this unpleasant fact. What prevents them from allowing the preservation in full DNG? Save battery? Afraid of overheating electronic brains? Strange somehow ...

Hello,
I have been having the same problem! The drone and the first battery went ok, but with the second and third battery it will tell me I need to update. It gets me to the update button but then spins and goes back to update. I have tried it on different days, but same issue.

I didn't notice your post before... As I wrote later in the thread - I brought my Mini 2 to the seller who does servicing as well and they confirmed they had the same issue and nothing worked except updating the batteries in another Mini 2...

I tried to ask DJI's support why we don't get DNG - source files in sphere-360 mode. The guys ignore my question for now - until I saw the answer.

In regard to the ​resolution of photos taken in the 360 panorama mode in the DJI Mini 2：
I contacted DJI's technical support with a question about low photo resolution (only 3 Mp) in Sphere 360 mode.
Here is DJI 's answer:

Because according to the product positioning of DJI Mini 2, almost all users may directly use the output photos finally generated on the mobile phone. According to the principle of panoramic shooting, the final stitched image resolution can achieve the effect most users need without being too high. . At the same time, smaller file size can speed up the processing speed and increase the speed of downloading pictures to the phone.

in my opinion, this is disgusting - deliberately degrade performance due to the "positioning of the model".
And deprive us of the opportunity to get what could be obtained from the Mini2 at no additional cost.
It looks like DJI forgot about the reason for the appearance of the Mini weighing 249 grams.
Those of us who do not use the drone as our main tool do not want (or cannot) get involved with the many formalities due to the restrictions of the authorities.
And in this case, the only tool would be Mini2.

Hi DJI guys,
After last update of my DJI mini 2 I got the problem with control.  When I started flight the connection was suddenly lost. The drone was not so far from me, less than 5 meters above and distance from the start point was just few steps. The controller was looking directly on the drone and the weather was clear. It was approximately 15 satellites available on the start. It was huge stress.. the situation repeat 3 times.
The only good thing that the drone started return to home procedure right after disconnection.

Hi! I have same identical problem. My Mini 2 (CE version) is completely unreliable.
-Latest firmware v01.03.0000 (updated drone, RC and batteries)
-Latest app version (1.4.8)
-iphone 12 pro max

I'm scaried to use it as it lose control randomly in all environments (urban or in the middle of nowhere, it doesn't change).
This happens even at a distance of less than 10m and the drone no longer responds to commands and sets the automatic return home (after 20-30 seconds signal return).
I'm subject to this problem since the last month. Earlier I have never had any connection problem.

I really don't know what to do and at the moment I'm using my mini 2 as paperweight as I really don't want to fly unsafely.

Anybody knows if/when DJI will sove this critical issue? I've search on google and youtube and it looks like many many people are facing same issue after latest firmware update.

I am using the latest FWs on my Mini 2 and Smart Controller with app version 1.4.8 (1185). I fly a lot and never had a problem.

It would be nice if we got smart follow option instead of being forecd to fake it with quickshots. Drone has all hardware it needs, it just needs bit of software to become even greater success.

You get all the single pictures of a 360 on the sd card and with this you can make much higher resolution panoramic pictures with different 3rd party software. I understand the dji decision to crop it to limited size. It’s that all social media sites reduce the quality anyway. If you want higher quality at your website then you are still able to do so.

We hope 5.8 for Ukraine!

If I will not use my dji mini 2 for a week, Do I have to remove bettery form Hub or drone after charging? Refer to battery life problem.
