Very nice to see the Mini 2 get added.  

I have several serious bugs with djifly 1.4.2. version on both air2 and mini2 with the standard controller+phone combo. (mainly aircraft disconnects+map issues).
Since I downgraded to 1.4.0 all issues disappeared. The fly app version 1.4.2 may cause problems on smart controller also.... I wait with the upgrade for a while...

Finally! We've been waiting for sooo long

1.4.2 works fine on the new firmware.. just flew the Air 2S without black screen or other issues..

I have installed the new fw both on the muni2 and the smart controller.
I have flown 2 batteries with the mini2. Everything was perfect, not any issue at all! The video feedback was fluid, not even a glitch. I have experienced the same with my air2. Well done dji! Iam very satisfied!

Thanks for the confirmation. That's exactly what I'm waiting for. Will get everything updated today and go test fly the mini2 with the smart controller.

Still no support for Mavic Mini.

works for me, too.  unfortunately i had started using the tripltek tablet which has a bright display and really gave the mini2 new life.  however, i would prefer to revert back to the sc.  screen is not as big and bright but it's one stop and it just feels better.  love the mini2 again.

Smart Controller updated smoothly and surprisingly quick via WiFi; got the Mini2 linked and everything seems to be working so far, but I have yet to confirm it with a test fly. What I've noticed is the 'Connect' button on the home screen goes to the the aircraft management screen which DOES NOT remember my linked aircrafts. In order to switch aircraft I need to go to the 'settings' menu first, then select the aircraft management screen from there, where my aircrafts are saved and can be selected. Apparently the 'connect' button on the home screen does not take me here. Also, I've noticed that the specific C1 & C2 button settings on my Mavic2 got over written after switching back from the Mini2.

Test flight with Sc compleated. All went well, and there were some extra controls on the Smart Controller. Zoom & Camera settings etc. Very happy

Also found switching back to Mini2 from Mavic2 requires a 're-link', while switching back to Mavic2 from Mini2 doesn't, it's just a matter of selecting the Mavic2 in aircraft management.

Use the right wheel on the Smart Controller to zoom in and out (the left wheel is for the gimbal as it always has been).

Zooming on the Smart Controller with the Mini 2 works as follows:
* Photo mode = 2x maximum zoom
* Video mode in 1080p = 4x maximum zoom
* Video mode in 4K = 2x maximum zoom

Tried flying SC with Mini 2 after FW update.  The orientation of the SC in the DJI fly app map is still -90 degree off, same problem as before when flying MA2 and Air 2S.
Anybody also still have the issue?

Only drones which support occusync 2 do work with the sc. First edition of mavic pro and mini can't use the sc.

Exatly the same here. I have pro2, air2, and mini2 linked to the sc.
I think it is not a big issue. I can live with it. The switch between the mini2 and air2  performed flawlessly. The issue came when I tried switch back to mini2 after Pro2. (Relink needed)
I also experienced that the C1 C2 button assignment  is not independent between the aircrafts.
The zoom function works fine with the mini2 using the right wheel. (both video and photo mode). This is fantastic feature.

Yes, sadly this has not been fixed and it has the issue for me too. The Smart Controller had this issue before when flying the Mavic Air 2 using the DJI Fly app and now it has the same problem with the DJI Mini 2 and the DJI Fly app.

The Mini 1 is enhanced wifi. Not Occusync. That means enhanced wifi hardware in the controller and drone. the SC does not have enhanced wifi RF to talk to the drone. It has standard wifi to connect to a wifi access point.

Even hacking the code to get a standard wifi connection would only get you about 100 foot range. If you're lucky.

Damn it DJI ! How much time you need to fix this BUG?
Also the SC with FLY APP 1.4.2 restarts the FLY, we have experienced signal loss and also black screen....NOBODY FROM DJI CAN LOOK WHAT THE HELL BROKEN FROM 1.4.0 TO 1.4.2 ??????

Just came back from a test flight of the Mini2 with Smart Controller. Yes, only one flight because it was very cold outside. Did this test flight at a known WiFi polluted location, and did not notice any weak signal or video lag for the whole flight, even at 2km away. Unlike the stock RC, the Smart Controller 'feels' a little less like a toy remote. The experience is AWESOME, so far...

Just tested the mavic2 pro with the 058  firmware on the smart controller, and I'm delighted to report that GO4 is also working flawlessly, except that the C1 & C2 button settings seems to be over written by the Mini2's, and switching back to the Mini2 will require a 're-link". Otherwise, great job DJI !!!!!!!

Need to note that even if you update the SC to the latest FW you still can't bind to the Mini 2 to upgrade it, until its been upgraded first.

So the process is:

1) Update the standard controller.
2) Update the Mini 2
3) Then bind to the SC.

Notes:
1) The Mini 2 can't be updated with Assistant 2. (PC or Mac) so must be done through the standard controller.
2) The Mini 2 and Fly app does not prompt for you to update the FW on additional batteries. You have to go to "about" in the Fly app and do a check for FW update for each battery.

Now that its done, I can now fly the Mini 2 in its updated FPV mode with my DJI Goggles RE and Original White ones using the HDMI out on the Smart Controller.
