im new to the Phantom 2 Vision +. I began my test flights and followed the start up process to the tee. I started flight with 6 GPS signals and during flight it dropped to 5. I immediately brought it home as it began to drift. I started over by turning everything off. Same thing.

I put in my second battery and got 12 GPS's. I found it odd and put back the other battery and same thing 6 GPS's. It appears the battery is doing something to the GPS strength.

Any ideas?

Was there a difference in the strength of each battery??

Both were fully charged.

Quick Update.  I just did another test with both batteries.  Both are showing 6 Sat's at the location I'm currently at.  I will go back to my test zone and redo the test from yesterday.  I will also connect to the assistant and get the battery information after the next test.

Sorry, but one observation does not a test make...
You need to try the different lipos at different locations and times of day to get a set of data to base your theory on.
You are already seeing a difference in your first and second observations...

These craft exhibit strange behavior quite frequently, so it's best not to jump to conclusions.
