Hand catching is the way to go

Just another reason I always hand launch/recover.  Hope the Mini 2 didn't have any major damage.

That damn grass made me twitch.  LOL

Hand catch or driveway!!  The driveway was right there!! Hopefully it only cost you new props.

I was attempting to "bookend" the flight returning over the grass to land in the driveway...  thwarted by a couple strands of overgrown grass!!!

No damage...  the tall grass cushioned the "crash"  It hid the drone.  I activated "find my drone" so I didn't step on it!
Hand launch/recovery is an option, but my physical condition make a flat surface and/or pad better for me.

Mini 2s do not make good lawn mowers.
