So I saw on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgARQZ2Le5o and confirmed on https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_fliers/knowledge_test_updates/ that even USA folks who hold 107 should probably head over and take the free, lifetime test once, and then keep proof that it got passed.

I wonder whether this also goes for folks who fly our drone while we watch them, showing them what it's about? I've passed around the motion controller to muggles after we get the group picture for whatever event we're at, and have found that folks with zero drone experience find it enthralling and intuitive. I've been considering myself to be the pilot while they're operating, hope that's accurate.

Anyhow, there's a long list of providers for the test, scoping it now to find one to get my email to hold onto a pdf for those times that I'm flying purely for fun.

I did the University of Arizona one ( https://trust.uagc.tech/ ). Apparently it took about eleven minute (YMMV). Now to find an FAA-recognized Community Based Organization...as soon as they exist?  I take it we use https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_91-57B.pdf until CBOs are recognized?

yes, you are the PIC (pilot-in-command) according to the FAA. You assume full responsibility for their actions and mistakes while they fly under your supervision. (same language as FAA 14 Part 107 ruling)
