If an of you are FAA Part 107 Remote Pilots, you are probably aware that you must take a recurring training course and retest every 24 months to fly under part 107. I got my FAA Remote Pilot Certification in 2016 but did not take the required test at the end of two years because I did not want to spend another $200 to take the test.
I just found out that the FAA now has a course with a test that you can take for free on line. After you take the test you can fly under part 107 for another two years.
To take the course and the test go to faasafety.gov web site. Sign up for an account, then take the PRt 107 Recurring Training course that is listed on the left side of the page. The course and the test is pretty easy, nowhere as intense as the original certification test.
It takes about 2-1/2 hours to take the course and the test.
After you pass the test, you will be issued a certificate that you can print out and keep as a record of completion. |
