Is there a good reason for me to not use Mavic Mini batteries with my Mini 2?

They will work. They WILL put you over the 250 gram weight. They will not provide the same power or flight time as the Mini 2 batteries.

I use my Mini batteries on the Mini 2 without issue.

The two batteries are almost exactly the same energy content with the Mini 2 battery having a tiny 0.2% more. The difference will be in the speed of the drones because the Mini 2 battery has 0.5v more voltage. When I used a Mini 1 battery in the Mini 2 I noticed a small decrease in speed but no real difference in range. The Mini 2 with the Mini 1 battery weighs 253 grams according to my digital scale.
I have read about one user who cut off most of the Mini 1 battery's plastic outer shell and lost 5 grams.

Id avoid using them in strong winds as they cannot provide as much peak current as the mini 2 battery.

My Mini 2 only came with 1 battery.

I deliberately did not buy the Mini 2 Fly More kit with the 3 batteries because I already had 2 Mini batteries. Saved some money that way.

Same here.  And it seems that I'm not missing out on much by flying with the Mini batteries.  I'm not concerned about the weight being over 250g, or the reduced power.  I'm not flying my Mini 2 in high winds.
