Here is some background information of this place:

In the Val Venosta valley, between the borders of Italy and Austria, a weir system was built during WWII, the heart of which was a tank barrier. This barrier, as well as the various bunkers which lie 550 meters above Lake Resia is part of the Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino), a defence line constructed in the Italian Alpines by the fascist dictactor Benito Mussolini. You can reach this barrier with a approximate 15 km easy hike from the lake.
From the church of Graun, built in 1355, only the Romanesque tower remains. The village was sunk in 1950 to create a reservoir. The tower, now a historical monument, is called "Kirchturm im Reschensee" in German, and "Campanile nel Lago di Resia" in Italian.
