I was curious what the AEB Shot Mode on the Mini 2 is?

AEB, when this is active the camera takes three pictures at three different exposure settings, one above and one below the set exposure. Then you can apply the "optimize" and the software will merge the three pictures best exposure elements. The resulting picture usually is great.

I dont think anyone has mented, the point of AEB is to merge all three photos to get much higher dynamic range in the image.

On the Mni2 you have to do that merge in photoshop/lightroom/other.  the more expensive drones do it for you in HDR mode.

The Mini 2 does it through the fly app. You can download the enhanced picture, I believe.

Yes but you'll be legally limited to where you can fly that model.

Thats not the same as stacking 3 shots to AEB and those images loose their exif information.   Its more like magic enhance in iPhone photos.

It means you will have to stay 150 meters away from everything apart from empty countryside.

It can actually over fly people but not crowds.

I shoot all my still drone photography (just about anyway!) using AEB.  There's no problem with storing the data and it does give you the exposure latitude for tricky subjects.  If you have either high of low contrast you can then combine the images the get the end result that you want.  I use an external program to do this, there are plent available to d/l if you Google 'HDR Program' although I tend to use the simple HDR editing pacilities built into Corel Paint Shop Pro (I'm on the 2020 version) as my aim is to produce a nautural looking end result that viewers won't be able to tell from an ordinary single shot.

I would love to have the option of the 5 shot AEB on the Mini 2 that I have on my Phantom 4 Pro though!
