Recently, while flying my Mavic Air 2 over the banks of a river the gimbal automatically
repositioned from downward to center and I lost control of aircraft.
It flew about 20 ft toward shore and luckily landed safely on some rocks.
When checking the controller, it displayed an IMU error (which flashed for a few seconds, do I wasn't
able to completely read it).
Just wondering if anyone knows why this may have happened.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the incident. Please try to calibrate the IMU, gimbal, and compass, and try to fly in a different environment to see if the issue existed again.
If so, you may send the flight log from the drone, upload to Dropbox and provide me with the link for further investigation.

Where can I find that file?

You may need to upload the flight data and then provide us your account to check. Please open the DJI Fly app-> Profile->More. If there is a message saying flight records not uploaded, please tap 'Upload' to synchronize the data and then tell us your account.
