Decent rate should be at least 4 m/s.  I used to set it to 6-8 m/s but didn't bother doing it this time.  It takes super long to decend at 3.0 m/s.

All DJI drones should have a decent rate of minimum 4 m/s on Sport or even 4.5 m/s.

DJI Assistant 2 with an older version.  Issue is when descending too fast, it takes a couple feet before it stops due to the lag which is bad for new Pilots but in DIY the descent rate was.. the motors turn off w/ brake.

The M2 is heavier than other Mavics so needs more time/distance to stop. Might not be a good idea to hack that.

I was running -8 m/s ascent and descent then went 6 m/s ascent due to battery but luckily they never inflated.  I'm still using the ones I had when I first got the M2Z combo.  I would do -8 m/s descent but doing -5 m/s because I don't fly super high anymore plus I have the DJI FPV for stuff like that which I hardly use anymore. -3 m/s is crazy slow.  Even at -10 m/s it's still fine.
