About the "marvel" - for the last 10-20 years Only once it was fully operational - before elections this year and now one of the tubes of the third tunnel is closed for repairs again - causing up to 10 km traffic jams on holidays and the whole thing is ~50 km and it like this for all eternity

Unfortunately, along with engineering marvels come continued maintenance.  Foregoing maintenance does cause problems.  Appears this is the case here.  Sorry to hear the tunnels are experiencing issues.

Not only tunnels but viaducts also - there is a rumor a company is living maintaining this part of a highway for more than 30 years closing bridge or tube and back again (there 3 pairs of tunnel tubes and some 5 to 10  bridges) last "marvel" they did was closing longest and highest tube for 6 YEARS causing Constant traffic jams and incidents for 6 years I am more than positive they can dig 3 New tunnels instead of refreshing operational one
