Did you know that marigolds are one of the most well-known insect-repelling plants and with good reason.  They have a scent that will keep pests like mosquitoes, nematodes like cabbage worms, and other pests away.

that I knew about insect repelling.  I went out last year to gather seeds, and I wanted  for the backyard  but they did not take over, the insects did Lol. gonna gather  the pods and  spread around big time so later they can do the job of propagating down the road

Some insects are just more pesky than others.  Stay the course, you'll win out in the end.
