Can the controller be connected to the phone app via a bluetooth connection (maybe via adapter) instead of a wire?  My USB-C port is broken on my Samsung S9.  I have been charging wirelessly for over a year.   
Right now I am forced to use my wife's S7 to fly using DJI Fly app on her phone.

Why not get it fixed? I just had a battery installed in my wife's Note 8 for $80. Most places can fix ports also reasonably cheap.

Just google phone repair in your area.

Like the Note 8, the Galaxy S9 is "glued" together, so expect a higher cost to repair than some others.

Hello there djworkman, I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. As posted above it would be best to have your Samsung S9 USB-C port checked and fixed for you to be able to your mobile device properly when flying your DJI Mini 2. Thank you.

Not sure if you have one in your area but uBreakiFix locations are Samsung authorized repair providers.  I've had 2 phones repaired at uBreakiFix and both time they did a great job and the price was reasonable compared to other cell phone repair places in my location.
