This morning I found out that the P2 was missing its joystick.
I'm 100% sure it was there last night when I put it in the bag after making a motion timelapse.



I sent an email to customer support (ID =3699989), so I'm hoping for a quick fix, since I really like this joystick a lot for changing the orientation of the gimbal!

Oh, sad news. Just buy new one, it cost apr 20-25 usd on Aliexpress.
By the way, what you think about Pocket 2?
My UX is better to use with phone, results are much more better.

I'd like to see how DJI responds. It should not fall off like this.
But otherwise, I will probably get a replacement.

I really like the P2 so far.
Never use it with a phone. Just the P2.
I know it is tiny, but that is the whole idea behind it I think.
And with D Cinelike and DNG the output is quite usable.
Much better than expected.

I have shot a lot of footage with it so far. Just checking small pieces of it (and liking it a lot)
I mostly use it for walking shots and motion timelapses.

Sounds like faulty manufacturing.  No way it should have just broke off.  Hope that DJI will treat you right on this issue.

Ahh,   it looks like its push fit,   and from your original post it sounded like it was lost.

I have to send it to the repair center, but I'm not sure if they want the whole P2, or just the detachable thing.
So I asked about that.

I only have to send in the control stick.

Some people don't know that you can alter the tilt angle by sliding your finger on the right edge of the screen, which can be handy if you don't have the joystick attached.

But perhaps you are well aware of that anyway!

It is a 4 way joystick made from a soft kind of rubber that is glued to the 'control stick' (the detachable part that slides in the P2).
The little 'ball' that sticks out broke off the actual joystick.
So it still works, but you have nothing to hold on to.

Safe, sound, not tested.

We did not need a test because Sweden is a 'green' country and we are fully vaccinated.
And we felt like we did everything to avoid an infection in Sweden (avoiding crowds, living outdoor in the woods mainly) so there was no moral pressure to get tested for our own peace of mind.

We did get tested when we left NL for Sweden, because we were at the farewell party of our oldest daughter from her elementary school the week before leaving with about 120 people in a big theater, but still)
