I have just purchased my Inspire 1 and am trying to set up the simulator. It's asking me to verify aircraft? Can someone give me guidance on how to do this please?

Do you have the Inspire 1 turned on?

Yes power on and linked to the controller.

If your using Android it wont be there...Another broken promise from DJI.  Maybe next year...

Willie I'm using iPad. What I need is instructions on how to activate aircraft, which everyone needs to do before flying apparently. I think it's to do with registering the aircraft with DJI.

Sorry, if I missed something here. But you need to login to your DJI account first with it connected to the internet (in the app) then turn on your remote and then connect to the inspire. with your DJI Pilot app running you should be able to register the aircraft.

It should not be hard, you may just be missing  step in the process.
