I tried the timed photo option to create a hyperlapse with the M2.
Too bad the M2 did not stay on course (probably due to the wind) and I only took 125 images.
Also I noticed it still stutters quite a bit (even at 25 fps), so I probably have to make a shorter interval (this was every 5 seconds)
Too bad I'm not around anymore to make a new one

Impressive hyperlapse.

Maybe shorten the intervals to 3 seconds on your next hyperlapse and see if it helps reduce stutter.  Still it was an impressive hyperlapse.

I agree. I do miss the hyperlapse function btw.

Isn't it better to record video and just speed it up in Adobe Premier or something for hype lapse? Or taking set of pictures is better?
Sorry, didn't mean to be rude, just curious. I am super new to DJI Mini 2.

In theory pictures should be better, since they provide you with the max amount of information and don't compress anything (at least, DNG's don't)
But for most of the time, making a video will do just fine indeed.

Understood!

Thank you

Do I need to have some special setting for making hyperlapse with pictures? Or just make a shot every 3-5 seconds?

Thank you!

Inspired by this discussion, I used my mavic mini (1) to capture a combine harvester on film.
This is my first time-lapse video:

Combine Harvester Time-Lapse

I tried both variants:
-Fast-forward of video in post processing (8x and 16x)
(0:11-0:23 and 1:06 -1:16)

-Sequence of about 350 single pictures (timed interval 2s) which are shown for 0,1 s each in the video
(0:24 - 1:05)

Can you see the difference?

Post processing has been done with Camtasia 2020.

Mavic mini showed some wind warnings, connection issues and a CPU overload, however it did a good job, I think.

Yes, I can see the difference.
Not as smooth as I would want.
But that is sort of what I get.

Great attempt. The Hyperlapse function is why I went with the Air 2 . Very easy to set up, and you can save the course you fly to repeat whenever you wish.

Yeah, I hope they release a <250 drone that has hyperlapse and d cinelike.
That would be a no brainer for me.
