Beginner pilot - As far as I searched, I did not find the option of resolution settings and recording speed in the app. I tried all the options, played and downloaded even an earlier version, switched phone - no result - suggestions?

Theres no option for photo resolution,  you get the best it can do,   only option is jpeg and raw.

Respect the answer, my friend, but disagree with it. I can get the assumption in taking photos that the system is aimed at working at the highest quality,but also in video recording it's same. The thing without the possibility of choosing between 2.7/4/1080 - which is  elementary future (shod be).

By the way - in all the guides on the internet, whether official or private - all have the option present.

On the main screen click bottom right on the 1080p or whatever is displayed, you can then change video resolutions. Set photo to 4:3 not 16:9, as that will use the full 12mp sensor, you crop after.

Somehow, it came to be that you are right :-), anf it is not related to the screen ratio (3:4-9:19)

Picture - no place to change, probably it means they meant to let is the highst quality.
Video - they changed the palce to change it to the right down corner.

There are options for video,  but not photo.  Your screen shots are around the photo.  With the latest version of the app they moved to the bottom right corner of the screen in video mode.

I saw this video a couple of months back and on occasion I go back to it when my memory fades on some of the settings.  Ian does a great job with his videos.
