Some Lightning in the distance, later the same thunderstorm hit my town, but the winds picked up quite alot before that so I had to land and could not film it

Impressive captures of the lightning. I think a wise call to land though as the storm approached you.

Thanks, I had it up in the air completely emptying 4 batteries recording at 120fps to catch them.. 95% of the videos are just flashes behind the clouds tho

Worth it though for your footage, and you miss 100% of the shots you do not take, so...

Yeah the floods were quite close to where I live, but not close enough for me to pop over for some droneshots.

We had a few co-workers that came in late because of roads that wasnt there anymore

This was just luck, I have started to take the Air with me even on short walks with the dog.

At the time of the thunderstorm I was about to go get some groceries and I did see some lightning at the horizon, found a parking lot and burned through 4 batteries filming at 120fps.
