Hello,

I have DJI MINI2 and I would like to perform firmware refresh (like for instance it was possible with my previous mavic mini 1).

It's not possible to do it via DJI Assistant, so is there any way I can do that?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a firmware refresh using the DJI Assistant 2 for DJI Mini 2 as of the moment. Can you please confirm what issue did you experience? Please keep us posted. Thank you!

Open "Program Files x86" in Windows.
Open "DJI Assistant".
Open "Default settings.
Change "Upgrade Enable" from 0 to 1.

[wm161]
upgrade_enable=1

Right click DJI Products folder and allow Full Control in the Security tab.

Open DJI Fly...wait a few second and then you will magically see a a list of former firmware updates available.
Flash back to an earlier firmware version if you want.
Done

The next time you open the Fly App it will then prompt you that a newer (newest) firmware version is available.
Install the current firmware version if you'd like.

Unfortunately YOU cannot.....but fortunately HE can..
And I just explained to him how to do it.

And now you know how to do it too.

I'm sure you'll be more than happy to explain the very simple process the next time a customer asks the question.

I can't be certain.

Now there going to "fix" that "issue", so it won't be able to be done by the user....

I am lost here.  I get to Win86, and the folder, but there are no general preferences to choose.

It's in the DJI engine folder. Even before you try to change it, change the properties as instructed. Then change the file and save,
GAVINHR has a video walkthrough if you need it.

Well, he walks people through reverting the app on their device, whereas you instruct how to roll back the aircraft hooked up to assistant, correct?
I would guess both things would need to be done.  
Really too bad the company has thrown this wrench in an otherwise good product.  I'm about fed up.

I just uninstalled all DJI remnants off my tablet and installed 1.4.4 ... now I'll watch this video, thank you.

ok, I'm not crazy, I do not have the defaultsettings (now I see what I missed, the activate/deactivate step by step) ...?

I would bet money on that

Since all that stuff was in the default file already, makes you wonder why it was all set to "0". why put the code for it in there if they dont want you to use it?

I think the directions in the video only apply to the DJI assistant 2 consumer drone version

I can confirm the directions just given will work " Provided you run as Administrator "

I changed the INF file to ( 1 )  and it updated
